LOCAL

We serve as much locally produced food as possible for several reasons:

Logo-Tiny

Local Food Is Fresher

It also has more flavor and nutrients because it is harvested at its peak and spends little to no time in packaging or in transit. Tastes better and better for you? We’re in!
Logo-Tiny

Minimal Packaging or Transportation

Local food creates less waste and a smaller carbon footprint. We don’t know about you, but we like the idea of leaving our kids (and yours) a viable planet to live on.
Logo-Tiny

Local Economy

By supporting local producers, we are supporting our local economy which means that our community will thrive and allow our friends, our neighbors, and ourselves to enjoy a comfortable and happy life.

* If we can’t get something locally, we try to find it as close to home as possible with attention to organic, sustainable, and cruelty free production.

SEASONAL

We enjoy savoring things because we only have them for a limited time.

Logo-Tiny

Why So Seasonal?

We choose to primarily use seasonal produce in our dishes because we believe that there is more flavor and nutrition in something that is growing when and where it is supposed to grow.

Savor the Flavor

If peaches, rhubarb, asparagus, or pumpkin grew year round, they wouldn’t be nearly as special as they are for a few weeks that they are in. If we had it all the time, we would never look forward to it.

CRAFT

Logo-Tiny

The Movement

For us, the craft movement means having enough passion about what you are producing that you constantly strive to learn more about it, do it better, and educate more people about it.

Right Place, Right Products

We are fortunate to live in a town where there are many people who feel the same way that we do and are applying their particular expertise to making high quality, small batch products by hand that we are able to incorporate into our particular craft.

*Our vendors supply us with many local products…they include, but are not limited to: beer, spirits, cider, meat, produce, eggs, herbs, bread, salt, and preserves. Hopefully soon the list will include dairy.
